BLOG 6: Details on my archnemisis

Hi FANS..

This is the last blog I'll be writing to you before "Fantastic Four" comes out in cinemas.. I hope you will all watch it the day it comes out because it's sure not to disappoint!

In the movie my arch nemisis is Dr. Doom who is played by Julian McMahon.

Victor von Doom is a scientist who was never a very nice person. His parents died when he was very young and he attended Empire State University, which is where he met Reed Richards and Ben Grimm.

Later on, Reed Richards and Victor meet up again because Reed is convinced that the evolution can be triggered by clouds of cosmic energy. Victor, now CEO of his own company, agrees to go on the mission to space along with Ben, Johnny and Sue. Sue is his girlfriend at the time and Reed's former lover.

The mission turns out to be disastrous and they are all hit by the cosmic clouds. Victor begins turning into a man made of steel making him almost indestructible and giving him the power of electrokinesis (power to control and produce electricity).

Victor's company starts going bankrupt and he wants revenge with Reed and the other "Fantastic Four" members. Eventually he convinces Ben, who is permanently a rock monster, to go into a machine which will drain his power and place the power in himself. At this point he starts wearing a costume that is all black to symbolise evil and also wears a metal mask that makes him look more powerful and indestructable.

Ben realises he has been tricked and feels very bad and very angry. The other "Fantastic Four" members realise what he has done and try to defeat him once and for all. It took a lot of team effort but eventually he was turned into a statue of metal and shipped away back to Lavteria.

Dr. Doom causes a lot of destruction in the movie, especially in the last battle because he breaks windows, ruins the city's power, harms his old friends and all just to defeat "Fantastic Four."

Victor von Doom or 'Doom' is probably the most evil, sly, arrogant, devilish man that I have ever seen in a movie which makes the movie all the more suspenseful.

Thank you so much fans for supporting me whilst making this movie and visiting my website!

LOVE GRACE FACER (Sue Storm) xx

BLOG 5: Images of scenes/pictures

HI ALL!

As you all know "Fantastic Four" will be shown in all cinemas very soon!

In this blog I have posted many pictures of scenes especially for all my fans out there. I'm also going to show you a sneak preview of the costumes that were made by our main costume designer Diana Nosella.

Firstly, for all you Johnny Storm fans out there here is a picture from the scene on Brooklyn Bridge where Johnny protects a small child from the fire. This scene shows that Johnny has a soft side even though he acts like a bit of a rebel.

This next picture is also of Johnny and shows him being interviewed straight after doing a stunt on live TV. As you can see he is surrounded by women and shows that he has become even more of a ladies' man after becoming a superhero!

Next is a picture of me (Sue Storm) making a force field when Dr. Doom is trying to electrocute me. This picture shows that my character is brave and determined.

This next picture of Sue is from a scene where Reed
is running tests on her. As you can
tell from her face she takes the situation very seriously which makes her character seem like an in control woman.

This image of The Thing is from the part in the movie just before the big Brooklyn Bridge car accident. The Thing is sitting on a ledge and a pigeon lands on his shoulder. He says:

"Hey there little fellow, you're not afraid of me are you?"

The pigeon flies off and when The Thing looks at his shoulder sees that the bird did a dropping on his shoulder but he doesn't lose his temper like you think he would. This showed that he is down-to-earth and not someone that you should be afraid of, even though most people are.

Here is another image of Ben when Johnny tricked him into thinking there was something wrong with his face after waking up from being in a coma. At this point in time he hadn't turned into The Thing yet but he looks very worried about whether he is normal or not.

Another interesting image from a scene in the movie is one of Reed Richards when he is on the computer trying to figure out what caused the "Fantastic Four" members to gain special powers. He looks very determined and this shot shows that not only is he strong and sensitive but intelligent too.

Lastly, this is a picture of Dr. Doom when he is not yet fully made of steel. You can see running down the side of his face is a scar of metal and the evil glare in his eyes shows that the transformation he is undergoing is for the worst. This is a very important picture from the movie because it gives us an idea that "Fantastic Four" are going to end up fighting him.

The costumes for the movie were really cool! The "Fantastic Four" all wear matching blue jumpsuits with a silver 4 on the front. Ben however, only wears pants because he is so huge he can't fit into a jumpsuit. We all wear black boots and look very futuristic.

Dr. Doom's costume is a hooded black cloak and boots. He also wears a metal mask and all his arms and legs are also metal. His costume is all black which represents evil.

BLOG 4: Dialogue

Hello yet again to all my fans!

Today was another great day of filming the movie.

It was fun watching the other actors deliver their lines on set. In the script there are a lot of one-liners which make the movie funnier and more entertaining and also give you an idea of the character's personality.

Johnny had a lot to say because he is the cocky, cool and funny one in Fantastic Four. Some of the one-liners he had to say included:

"A new day is dawning. The day of the Fantastic Four!" (shows he is a very proud, confident person)

"Am I the only one who thinks this is cool?" (shows he is humorous about serious matters )

"I'm known as the Human Torch but the ladies just call me Torch" (shows he is flirty and funny)

Victor von Doom also had one-liners in his script which developed his character as being very arrogant, evil and sly. His lines were:

"Same old Reed, reaching for the stars with the weight of the world on his back." (shows he is a mean person)

"Is that the best you can do? A little heat?" (shows he thinks a lot of himself)

Lastly, Ben had to deliver a one-liner to show how upset he was about his appearance. It made his character seem less scary and more relatable. The line he delivered was:

"I'd give anything to be invisible right now." (shows he is sensitive about what he looks like and teaches us the lesson, you should never judge a book by its cover)
Look out for these lines when "Fantastic Four" comes to a cinema near YOU!

BLOG 3: Soundtrack

Hi fans!

Hope your enjoying reading about the "Fantastic Four" movie I'm going to be starring in.

Today the soundtrack for the movie was recorded in the studios. The soundtrack has a lot of great artists' songs on it and the songs suit the movie PERFECTLY.

Artists that are featured on the soundtrack include:

Joss Stone- Whatever happened to the Heroes?

Chingy- Relax

Taking Back Sunday- Error Operator

Omnisoul- Save your Life
Ryan Cabrera- Always come back to you

Miri Ben-Ari feat. Pharoahe Monch- New world Symphony

Megan McCauley- Die for you and Reverie

Sum 41- Noots

Simple Plan- Surrender
T.F.F (Tears For Fears)- I'll take you down

Lloyd Banks- On fire

Breaking Point- Goodbye to you

Alter Bridge- Shed my skin
Submersed- In due time

Loser- Disposable Sunshine

Miss Eighty 6 feat. Classic- Now you know

Orange Range- Kirikirimai (Fantastic Four Remix)

Along with these fantastic songs there are 2 others that are also on the soundtrack. These are the main songs and are featured on the DVD.

The first song is Come on, Come in by Ben Moody ft. Anastacia.

The second song is Everything Burns by Velvet Revolver.

In the movie there are plenty of sound effects and music which all create mood and engage the audience.

FOR EXAMPLE:

In the last battle scene between Fantastic Four and Dr. Doom a lot of sound effects had to be added. When they crashed through a window there was the sound of breaking glass, when they were falling from the building you could even hear the sound of wind rushing past them.

This was all thanks to the sound effects editor- David Kulczycki !

Music was also used in the movie quite a lot to build tension.

Just before Ben is about to look in the mirror at himself the music that is playing goes from soft to louder and louder and when he looks at himself in the mirror the music stops all together because he realised there was nothing wrong with his face. This built tension.

Another example of how music can set the mood was when Reed was about to propose to Sue romantic music was playing in the background. Also the lighting was very dim and was moonlight which helped to make it even more romantic!

You probably wouldn't realise it but the sound effects and music were a big part of the movie...
These helped to make the movie extra entertaining and fun to watch!

BLOG 2: Film Techniques

Hi everybody..

Today was another day of filming "Fantastic Four."

The director (Tim Story) wanted to use lots of different camera angles and shots for the movie so the audience would be more engaged. The camera crew had to work really hard to get the shots and angles the director wanted.

Here is a picture of our great director-

In the scene after we had gone to Brooklyn Bridge all the reporters were surrounding us and the shot was taken from a high angle to show how many people there were.

Another type of shot that was used in the movie was a close-up of my face when I was fighting with Dr. Doom. This was to show my facial expression and how determined I was to beat Doom.

For the scene when Ben/The Thing crashes into 2 womens' car, the director specifically wanted a slight low angle to be taken from the driver's point of view to show how scary Ben is.

When the Fantastic Four are lining up ready to go on their mission into space a mid shot was used so that you could see all the characters faces clearly but at the same time have an idea of the clothes they are wearing so you get an idea of how professional the mission really is.

A full shot was used when Ben was getting out of the machine to show that from head-to-toe he was finally normal again. It is a slight low angle to shot to show that even though he isn't a rock monster anymore but he is still big and tough.

Lastly, a high angle shot was used when Reed was hanging off the edge of a building after Dr. Doom pushed him out the window. A high angle shot was used to show how high up he is and that he is hanging on for his life.

There were many special effects that were used in the movie such as Johnny turning into flames, Sue turning invisible and Reed's super-elasticity were all computerised. When Victor von Doom walks into a room all the lights were made to flicker and sparks had to fly from all electronic devices in the room.

A lot of special effects were used on the Brooklyn Bridge scene such as when Ben hits into the truck. Our crew had to put a cement pole in the ground and smash the truck into it. Ben was added into the shot later.

The following video explains more on how that special effect was made :

BLOG 1: Part 1 (First day on set)

Hi Fans!

To all of you who don't know me my name is Grace Facer and I play Sue Storm in the movie

"Fantastic Four".

More about my character: Sue Storm, also known as Invisible Woman is a character created by Marvel Comics. She has many Powers and abilities such as of course, turning invisible and being able to see others that are invisible and turn others invisible. She can also create forcefields which are invisible to others but are extremely powerful.

Here's a list of the other actors/actresses that are also starring in "Fantastic Four" and their roles in the movie:

Ioan Gruffudd - Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic
Michael Chiklis - Ben Grimm/The Thing
Chris Evans - Johnny Storm/Human Torch
Julian McMahon - Victor von Doom/Doctor Doom

and of course.. ME, playing Sue Storm/Invisible Woman !

It was so much fun working with the cast and crew on set but today I was extremely NERVOUS meeting them all because they are such great actors and actresses. I was completely ...

It was such a priviledge to work with such amazing people!

As today was my first day of filming on set of "Fantastic Four" I started getting really anxious.

I'd been learning my script for quite a while before we actually started filming but I still forgot some of my lines in the first couple of takes! It was embaressing at first but then I just laughed it off.

One of my favourite scenes, because it was hilarious shooting, is a scene where Fantastic Four are on Brooklyn Bridge and I had to turn invisible so I had to take off my clothes and soon enough I became visible again so I was standing there in my underwear! It was a really fun scene to shoot and surprisingly after a while I was comfortable with the whole cast and crew seeing me in my underwear! The best part about this scene that you'll probably be surprised to know is that we didn't actually film it on Brooklyn Bridge! The background is all done by the great Special effects Team, but you wouldn't even know the difference! It was shot in a parking lot and the background was added later.

My favourite scene in the whole movie is the last battle scene with Dr. Doom. There is lots of action and it was fun shooting. There were also a lot of special effects used, like when Dr. Doom is strangling me while I'm invisible. The finished product turned out GREAT!

Hope you all will enjoy the movie when it comes out in cinemas ..
Keep checking back for more about the movie and Sue Storm!

BLOG 1: Part 2 - Plot of the Film

Hello again! Grace Facer aka Sue Storm here. Today I'll be telling all you fans about the plot of "Fantastic Four".

THE PLOT: Fantastic Four is about a group of superheros who became "Fantastic" (got their powers) when they were sent on a mission by Victor von Doom to go to space in the centre of a cosmic storm, hoping to unlock the secret of the human genetic code. Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, Reed Richards, Ben Grimm and Victor von Doom all travel to outerspace. They are exposed to high levels of radioactivity, especially Ben, and gain super powers. Sue can turn invisible and make forcefields, Johnny can make fire, Ben is turned into a extremely strong rock monster, Reed has super-elasticity and Victor is slowly turning into a man made of metal.

As a result of the disastrous expedition Victor blames Reed and wants revenge. As Ben was exposed to a higher level of radiation he finds that he can't change back to his human form and remains looking like a giant man made of rock. Victor tells Ben that the other Fantastic Four members aren't trying to help him and tricks him into going into a machine that will give Victor more power but can turn Ben back to normal.

Ben returns to his normal state and Von Doom is stronger than ever. Victor now wanting to be known as 'Doom' fights the Fantastic Four. Johnny heats up Doom and the temperature is nearly as hot as the sun's so Sue has to contain it in a forcefield. Ben rips a fire hydrant out of the ground and Reed shoots the water at him so the metal is cooled quickly and he is left a statue of metal that is unable to move.

Reed proposes to Susan who accepts and Doom's remains are transported back to Lavteria.

As they say the good guy always wins!
